That’s St. Margaret’s fourth straight LIS title.
Collegiate scored three runs in the first inning and tacked on two more in the third. That’s when St. Margaret’s went to work, cutting the lead to 5-3 over the next two innings before exploding for four runs in the fifth to take the lead and control.
Carrie Fox got the win with a complete game in the circle for the Scotties while Zoe Truxon exploded for three RBI while going 2-for-3 at the plate. Sara Pierce and Sydney Trent each had an RBI with Pierce posting a 3-for-4 day.
